Back up or move your wardrobe
Eritta keeps your wardrobe in the browser or app where you made it. If you are switching browsers, moving to a new phone or reinstalling the Android app, export your wardrobe first and save the file where you can reach it again.
Save a copy before you switch
- Open Me in the Eritta wardrobe you want to keep. If you have more than one local wardrobe, check that you have the right one open.
- In the browser choose Export wardrobe. In the Android app choose Export wardrobe backup, then Choose where to save.
- Find the dated
eritta-backupfile ending in.json. Check your browser’s Downloads or the location you chose on your phone. Keep the file somewhere private that you can access from the destination device.
Open your chosen location and check that the file is there before you clear browser data, remove the old app or reset a device. The old wardrobe remains where it was while you make a copy.
Bring it into another wardrobe
- Open Eritta in the new browser or Android app. Under Me, choose Import wardrobe in the browser or Import wardrobe backup in the Android app.
- Select the saved file. Check the number of clothes and looks shown before confirming the import.
- Keep your current model settings unless you want to use those from the backup. If you select the backup’s model settings in the Android app, it also removes the face scan on that device. You can make a new scan from the model controls.
- After import, check that a garment opens in Wardrobe and that a saved combination opens in Looks. Keep the original backup until you have checked both.
Import adds the backup’s clothes and looks alongside those already there. Importing the same file twice creates another copy. If a saved look referred to a piece you deleted, the backup can keep its saved preview, but it cannot recover the deleted item.
Know what’s in the file
A backup can include garment images and details, saved looks and their preview images, model settings, measurements and your optional wearer photo. The face scan itself stays in the original wardrobe. A saved look may still contain a preview showing your likeness, so treat the file like a folder of personal photos.
You choose where the export goes. If you use a shared drive, a cloud folder or a messaging app to move it, that service may store a copy under its own settings. Eritta reads your selected file on the device where you import it.
Remove a copy you no longer need
To remove one photo or look, delete it in Wardrobe or Looks. In the browser, Me → Delete this wardrobe from this device removes the active local wardrobe. Exported files are separate. Delete any older backup copies in Downloads or in the location where you saved them.
